City Sights

Usually I'm opposed to taking photos on foggy days but we were in San Francisco for only a limited time so I had to take advantage of all the picturesque places we visited.

I didn't even know it was possible to go right beneath the Golden Gate Bridge. I have visited SF many times before but this was my first time seeing the Golden Gate in all its glory, and so up-close and personal too. I was happy to cross this site off my travel check list.

Another significant landmark we visited was the Palace of Fine Arts. If you're planning a trip to SF soon this is a place worth visiting. Surrounded by monumental pillars and carved stone, it was like I  teleported to ancient Rome.

Speaking of teleporting, on this day I was secretly wishing I could teleport to the Bahamas. Now don't get me wrong, I love San Francisco. I just think I was being a bit overzealous when I chose to wear a dress and Sandals - brrrr!

If you've ever been to San Francisco and it's surrounding cities, you know that you can drive 5 minutes from one city to the next and feel a significant difference in the weather. When I left the house that day I was dressed completely appropriate for the weather, but when I arrived in the city, I was re-thinking my wardrobe choice. Something to think about if you're planning a trip here - bring options and layers!
