How to Style Your Shirt Multiple Ways

When I was debating whether or not I should purchase this blouse, I was trying to rationalize my decision and figure out how to style it differently. I don't know about you, but lately I've been trying to think about my purchases carefully so that I have multiple ways of wearing it. This way, I can get more use out of the item which in turn gives me a lot more bang for my buck!

When visiting Courtney Boutique, I was bouncing off some ideas from both Stephanie and Emilie, the assistant manager and store manager, and an idea came up to wear the top unbuttoned, like a vest. The thought was so simple, yet I did not think to style it this way on my own and owe 100% of this outfit inspiration to those girls!

That's one of the many things I love about visiting this local boutique, the girls are so helpful and are willing to provide honest feedback while you shop and try on potential purchases. Especially on days where I may not have a girlfriend with me, I like having someone I can trust when I ask for an opinion.

Not only can I wear this top like a vest, I can also button it up and style it with leggings or faux leather pants and have a completely different look!

Today, I chose to style it with some cutoff shorts, a basic high-neck white tank, some cut-out booties and my current favourite sunglasses (only $11!).

Do you have any other ideas of how you may style at top like this?

  2. Love it. Last year I've bought a dress and it came totally see through. I couldn't believe it, because it wasn't see through on the website. Anyways after looking at it from a different angle, I did absolutely the same as you - I started wearing it as a duster x

    1. This dress actually does require a slip underneath, but I didn't mind! That just means I can also wear it to the beach as a cover-up! It definitely needs to be stipulated in the description especially when purchasing online that it is see-though! What an annoying experience! So glad you were inventive also and wore it as a duster!

  7. So smart to wear it unbuttoned this way. I am mentally assessing my closet to think if I have any I could do the same with. Love it with your white and denim shorts.
