Getting the Most Use Out of Your Vacation Clothing

Look 1

Look 2

When shopping for vacation clothing close to season change, I choose pieces that can work into the upcoming seasons. Preparing for my trip to Mexico, I knew I would be returning to cold weather, so it was essential to find garments that would work for both the heat and cold. Pieces that can be layered are perfect because you can feel comfortably dressed with varying temperatures.

When I first tried on the green dress in Look 1, I knew I found the perfect transitional piece. I was able to wear it with a simple tank in sunny Mexico and now that I'm back home in the cold,  I can layer it with a fitted long-sleeve top and my favorite OTK or ankle boots.

The white tuxedo top in Look 2 instantly caught my attention in store. I loved the high neckline and cascading effect of the hemline. I knew it would work well for both fall and winter seasons as I can pair it with my favorite fitted leather leggings or denim and dress it up or down with my accessories. Perfect for work or a date night with the hubby!

How do you ensure you get the most wear out of your vacation clothes?

  6. I always keep the same thing in mind when shopping for vacation wear right as the seasons change. Anything I buy MUST be wearable once I get back home. These two pieces definitely fit the bill, I love both of these looks!

    1. It's definitely smart shopping when you keep that in mind. There is nothing worse than buying a bunch of stuff that can't be worn for another year!
