Styling Your Parka with Parajumpers

Typically,  where I live, it sprinkles snow maybe one or two days a year. This year we got dumped on - several times! I'm usually always cold and struggle to feel comfortable, especially when it drops below freezing. One option would be to lock myself in my house and stay nestled by the fireplace every time it snowed. Unfortunately, obligations require me to leave the house, so I need to make sure I'm dressed warmly when braving the cold. I was on the lookout for the perfect winter jacket to layer and wear on a daily basis. A jacket that is as practical as it is pretty.

When it gets colder, it can be difficult to put together an outfit that is both stylish and practical. This parka by Parajumpers is the perfect winter go-to jacket because it's extremely versatile, warm and perfect for everyday wear!

To give you a little background on the Parajumpers brand, it was established in 2005 by Italian designer Massimo Rosetti, after visiting a bar in Alaska.  He was inspired by the U.S. Military Corps, which was how the name "Parajumpers" came to be. The collection is very military-inspired and even carries through to the details of hooks and parachute clips on the jacket.

Unsure of how to style your parka in a way that is both stylish and practical? Read on for a few tips on how to accomplish this:

  • Put away the heels and opt for a low-heeled boot. The last thing you want to do is break a leg while slipping outside. If you can find something lined or water-proof, even better!

  • Comfortable denim is where it's at. I loved tights and leggings as much as the next person, but there is something about a relaxed fit denim that feels super comfortable. Want to throw some variety in there, choose a distressed pair and layer with fish net tights. Not only is this fashion forward, it's also extra warm!

  • Don't forget the scarf! A blanket scarf or wool knit is the perfect way to really insulate and keep warm. There are also so many different patterns and colors to choose from, you can really have fun accessorizing with your scarf!

  • Finish it off with some stylish gloves or a cute head scarf. There is nothing worse than frozen hands and cold ears!

You can shop the Parajumpers collection at high-end retail stores across Canada such as Nordstrom, Harry Rosen and Sporting Life, or shop online at www.parajumpers.it/en/

  29. The jacket is so chic though. Definitely a perfect combo of warm and chic as you say! And a great idea to skip the heels and embrace the winter weather to the fullest. I'm afraid of slipping with flats so I'd go crazy if I'd go for heels haha!

Have a lovely weekend babe, and oh, can I have your dog hahh - too cute! Xx
