Trying the Corset Trend

The corset trend is something I've been wanting to try for the longest time but I was unsure if I could pull it off. It's actually a really easy look to put together and there are so many different ways you can wear the corset trend if you're willing to experiment. Read on for a few ideas on how to wear the corset trend this spring season! 

1. Pair your corset top with a crisp, button up white shirt. This is probably one of my favourite ways to style the corset top. Pair it with denim and you have a casual and very stylish everyday look. *Style tip: If your top is mostly neutral, style your look with some statement shoes like the metallic clogs pictured above!

2. Pair it with a sheer top. For a more fashion forward look, try pairing a black, long-sleeved sheer top underneath for an edgier vibe.

3. Try styling a corset belt. You don't need to wear an actual corset top to try the trend out, you can opt for a corset belt instead. Pair the belt with an oversized tee to keep a casual tone or pair it over a jacket or blazer for a more polished look. Click here to see my post on how to style a corset belt!

4. Style it on it's own. Wear your corset top bare, tucked into a pair of high-waist trousers or denim. This looks is especially helpful for the warmer spring days we hopefully have ahead of us!

    I don't think this is something i'd ever gravitate toward BUT your suggestion of the corset top combined with sheer black long sleeve top.... I DIG That look!!! I just might be trying it this Spring!!

    I am not a big fan of this trend, I must admit, but your styling tips are always so useful, Rina! I would particularly try the classic corset with high-waist jeans and maybe the sheer top as well! :)
