Last week, the hubby and I travelled to the West side of O'ahu for a little vacation getaway. We had been to O'ahu before but always stayed on the busy Honolulu side. This time, we wanted to get away from all the hustle and bustle of the city and chose something more laid-back and and quiet. 

We ended up staying at the Marriott Ko Olina Beach Resort. Typically to stay at a Marriott Resort, you would need to own a time share. Luckily, the hubby and I were able to find an extremely affordable VRBO option that offered all the amenities of the Beach Club as well as accommodations. The room was also almost half the cost than a lot of hotels we would typically stay at in Honolulu. I definitely recommend trying the VRBO route if you're looking for affordable options with good amenities. It's the most bang for your buck! 

It was so nice to wake up to spend each day by the pool or beach. Sometimes all I want in a vacation is to lay around and rest. There's nothing worse than coming home from a vacation and feeling like you need a vacation after your vacation. This low-key trip to Ko Olina allowed me to catch up on some much needed recuperation and I was even able to get some work done poolside. 

We enjoyed ourselves so much, we are thinking of coming back for the hubby's 30th birthday in January. I'm already counting down the days!

    There have been times when after a vacation I still needed a vacation. But by looking at your pics I can tell this vacay was total relaxation. You two picked the perfect place. It looks so tranquil and peaceful. Now onto your outfit. I love your coral swimwear and how you paired it with your denim shorts. Your style is always so chic and effortless.
