Today, I'm continuing with my New York Fashion Week recap. If you missed Day 1, you can read it here. On my second Day in New York, I actually started to participate in some fashion festivities.
I visited my first Media Lounge hosted by Nolcha shows at the Bryant Park Hotel. There, I met designer Gina La Morte and her collection TRADE. Her line is socially conscious and supports non-profit missions for women that have been impacted by human-trafficking, violence and abuse. Talk about the ultimate female-empowering brand! Gina was also so kind to gift me a bag to wear to her show the following night, such a sweetheart!
Ecru New York also had a booth there and I discovered their texture spray - which hasn't left my purse since! It's so handy to bring with me for the day to give my hair an instant refresh and volume boost. If you're looking for instant hair volume, I encourage you to give it a try, it won't disappoint!
I didn't have any fashion shows scheduled for my second day, so my girlfriend and I decided it would be a good day to explore Brooklyn. A walk over the Brooklyn Bridge is always a must in my books because it's one of my favorite places to view the city from.
We also visited Dumbo for the first time and I really enjoyed walking around and finding all the picture-perfect spots. To finish the day, we ate at one of the most amazing restaurants ever. I would say that my meal was one of my top 5 best meals of all time, so that says a lot! I plan to do a more comprehensive post on all my favorite places to eat in the city in a future post, so stay tuned!

Want a chance to win my outfits from today's posts? I'm hosting a giveaway on Instagram with Double the Love Clothing. My black ruffle dress and this stunning velvet dress below are both from this adorable boutique and we're giving away $200 to spend to one lucky winner! Be sure to click this original Instagram post for all the contest details. The contest expires this Monday, so be sure to act quickly!
Hope you enjoyed reading about my second day in New York. Be sure to visit again next week for Day 3!

Sounds like such a great NYFW experience for you. I love that TRADE has such a strong mission and ethos. Those are the most inspiring, aren't they? :) You look great in both outfits. Having gone to NYC about at least twice a year for years, I still haven't woken up early enough for a picture at the Brooklyn Bridge. Your pics are gorgeous, girl. :)
