Wiped Out by Waves

I couldn't resist...lol

We came back to our room to find this little guy

I figured he was hungry.. so.. potato chip?

St. Maarten was one of my favourite stops. The beaches are stunning, transportation is extremely affordable (2$ taxi-like bus to the beach), and there is a very diverse shopping district.

We planned to visit Maho Beach, where you can see airplanes fly above you as it's located beside the airport. We changed our minds at the last minute as we drove by because it appeared to be very small and crowded. Our bus driver brought us to Mullet Bay instead, which is located very close to Maho Beach. We were still able to watch the airplanes fly above and it had a lot less people.

We had so much fun playing in the water because the waves at the shore line were about 10-15 feet high! At one point I tried to leave the water and return to the beach, but instead, I was caught in a 10 foot wave and spat out on shore. I couldn't help but laugh and how ridiculous I must've looked.

I plan to share more of my Caribbean adventures over the next week...
