What better colour to talk about on International Women's Day than the colour pink. For my third Spring Wardrobe Staple, rather than recommending one particular piece to wear, I'm sharing a color I encourage you all to try. It took me a long time to even entertain the idea of wearing the colour pink (my best friend can attest to this!). Not because I hate pink, in fact growing up, it was my favourite colour (I even had a pink TV!). I always just felt that pink was too young or even too girly of a colour to wear. What's changed? I now associate the colour pink with female empowerment, anti-bullying and the fight against breast cancer, so I just feel downright powerful whenever I wear the colour! Pink has become a neutral in my wardrobe and the colour will remain a strong choice when dressing for the Spring and Summer months.

Today I'll be sharing 5 tips on how to incorporate pink into your Spring wardrobe and feel like a boss doing so!

1. Go neutral. I'm a fan of wearing black and white all year round but sometimes I need a little colour pop. Pink is the perfect colour to pair with black or white, especially a light pink. If you're a little skeptical on wearing pink, pairing it with a neutral outfit is the perfect way to gently transition the colour into your wardrobe.

2. Choose pink accessories. Rather than pink clothing, try a pink bag or earrings. You'd be surprised at how many colours you can pair your pink accessories with.

3. Match your accessories. Try pairing pink shoes and a pink bag or a pink bag and pink earrings together. Having matching pink accessories really helps create a cohesive and fun look.

4. Try colour blocking. Select three solid colors, pink being one of the three, and style them together. Pink, white and black work well together as do pink, grey and white (do you see a neutral trend here or is it just me?).

5. Feel good, look good. With what ever pink item you decide to style or wear, feel confident doing so! Beauty and style is all about confidence! So proudly own your look because you know you look good ;)!

Stay tuned for the 4th and final part of this series coming live to the blog on Friday! In case you missed it, you can view Part 1 here and Part 2 here.

  1. I'm the same way!! I always hated wearing pink, feeling young or too girly! But now I like wearing pink, at least subtle ones like the blush color you're wearing or nudey-pinks. They really can look sophisticated and classy, but they also represent so many great causes, as you mentioned!! And I'm a huge fan of neutrals too! So I am in love with how you paired pink with neutrals!

  10. The clutch & earrings are just the right amount of pink. I noticed the earrings straight away & they look beautiful on you. I like how you now associate pink with female empowerment! This shade is such a lovely one.

  12. I just read an article in the WSJ about how younger women are embracing pink! When I was young, I didn't like it because it was too "girly" and not considered strong or serious!! Luckily those days are long gone, and I find it such a refreshing color!!
