New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2018 Day 4: Olivia Palermo x Banana Republic Launch

Dress: Zara | Boots: Similar
Sorry there's been a bit of a delay in sharing Day 4 from NYFW, I took a few days off to get caught up with some house work. Can you believe I had clean laundry waiting to be folded from August!

Day 4 was an exciting yet slightly stressful day for me. It was the first day I was late for an event and thought I was going to completely miss the Olivia Palermo x Banana Republic capsule launch but thankfully got in at the last minute.

When I arrived at Banana Republic, I was told to line up in a line that wrapped all the way around the block. My girlfriend and I stood in line for 45 minutes without it moving so I decided to check the front of the store to see what was going on. Little did I know, there was another line with fewer than 10 people in it.  I asked one of the door girls who could entered through that line. She responded curtly saying "your name has to be on the list, but it's unlikely that it is, you can check if you want". I gave my name lo and behold, my name was on the list! I had been waiting in the wrong line the entire time and almost completely missed it. Apparently the line I was in originally was for the general public that did not have an invite and that's why it was so long.

Thankfully I made it in and surprisingly even had the chance to meet Olivia Palermo! I totally had a fan girl moment as she's been a style icon for me for the longest time.
Meeting OP
Ran into one of my blogger friends, Jessica Luxe, from Vancouver!
I loved the mix of structured and militant pieces vs. feminine and delicate silhouettes in Olivia's collection. These are some of my favourites:

Afterwards, I had a quick outfit change and visited Serendipity's for lunch and my favourite frozen hot chocolate. It was the perfect way to end the day.

Red was apparent in both my outfits of the day and both pieces were purchase in New York. I can't get enough of the colour!
Blazer: Zara | Boots: Similar | Bag: Gucci | Top: c/o David Lerner

Stay tuned for Day 5!

Ps. I tucked my hair into my jacket for look #2 to see what I thought about short hair and I'm seriously contemplating it. Yay or Nay?

  6. That Printed Camisole Dress with its delicate looking lace at the sides and hem is gorgeous! I love the round movie-star sunnies.
How rude of that door-girl to presume you weren't on the list! You exude star vibes and look right in place hanging out with Olivia Palermo and your blogger friend Jessica.
Your outfit for after the show looks comfy.
Ooh, frozen hot chocolate - yum!
If I get to vote on your hair (and I should not get a vote) I'd say nay. I LOVE your long hair!!!!!!

  18. How awesome that you got to meet her. She's my favourite street style girl. I ended up walking by and showing up as the event ended, so we just missed each other. That red jacket I almost bought on the spot - if I were returning to Orlando I would've picked it up, but i was travelling for another 3.5 weeks, so I wasn't going to lug it around. I wish I was back in Toronto so I could justify the purchase... I live where it's still 33 deg celsius girl... can we switch places for a month? lol I want it.
