Hello! I'm so excited to be sharing my first blog post of 2016! I recently took a Caribbean cruise out of New York with the hubby. We stayed in New York for two nights at a boutique hotel called The Roger.
I visited New York this past September for a week and I loved it. I wanted to share with Dell everything that made me fall in love with the city, and I had less than two days to do it! Obviously the highlight of those two days was food, food and more food! We didn't do anything too fancy for food, mostly food trucks (you must try The Halal Guys! Thanks for the suggestion Kath!) and fast food (Shake Shack) because we knew how much pigging out we would be doing on the actual cruise.
I took Dell to Central Park, Rockefeller to see the infamous lit tree, walked along Fifth Avenue, and visited The New York City Library for the first time (which is stunning by the way). We also strolled down Times Square and had some classic New York City pizza. I couldn't fit everything we wanted to do in such a short time but Dell definitely now understands why I have so much love for New York.
We decided to avoid subways and buses and walked over 70 blocks in just one day! Thankfully the weather was good to us and we enjoyed two days of sun.
Stay tuned for more upcoming posts with pictures from the Caribbean and cruise!
