My family and I decided to rent a car to visit the North Shore for one of our vacation days. In all my previous trips to Oahu, I have always stayed at Waikiki Beach, so it was nice to check out other beaches on the island.
We visited three beaches on the North Shore. Turtle Bay Beach Resort was first on our list. For all you "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" fans, this was the resort featured in the movie. The beach by the resort was a little bit of a let down, so off we went to Kawela Bay.
Kawela Bay was amazing. It was pretty much deserted and we were able to enjoy our own private beach for a few hours.
The clouds came over us, so I asked my hubby to drive towards the sunshine and it led us to our last stop -- Sunset Beach. This was my favourite beach, because it gave us the most sunshine! It also held to its name and provided a beautiful sunset to end the day.
